The Society for Airway Management (SAM) will hold its 24th Annual Scientific Meeting and Workshop from September 14th to 17th, 2023, at the Marriot Marquis San Diego Marina in San Diego, California.

The course will feature international experts in various fields of medicine dealing with airway management, and will include plenary presentations, small group round table discussions, hands-on workshops, and an audience response system.

The theme of this year’s meeting is “From research to results: applying the latest airway knowledge to clinical practice.”

The target audience includes anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, otolaryngologists, intensivists, trauma surgeons, paramedics, certified registered nurse anesthetists, anesthesia assistants, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and flight nurses, among others.

The meeting will also feature a call for abstracts, a Challenging Airway Cases Session, a New Speaker Forum Lightning Presentation, and Trainee Travel Awards.

The meeting will be accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, and participants can claim up to 20.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).

Dr. Aderonke Adesiyan, the President of the Society for Specialists in Airway Management (SSAM) – Nigeria Chapter, will be presenting a groundbreaking paper on the enhancement of airway management practices in Sub-Saharan Africa.

This presentation is a part of the SAM 2023 Annual Meeting White Paper Session – International Chapter, and we are proud to announce that Dr. Adesiyan’s submission has been accepted for this prestigious event.
